Polat Energy was founded in 2000 to operate in the field of electricity generation of the renewable energy sources. The company that invested firstly in the wind energy, which is Turkey's great potential have implemented 5 Energy Power Plants, with a total investment of $ 1 billion since the first day of its activity.
Polat Enerji is the biggest wind power plant investor in Turkey with an installed capacity of 559 MW. Alongside the wind, Polat Enerji has their first Solar Energy Power Plant project in Turkey with an installed capacity of 26 MW in 2019. Total installed capacity is 585 MW.
SOMA WEPP which constructed in Manisa with an installed capacity of 288.1 MW, is Turkey’s largest operational wind power plant. Also GEYCEK WEPP which constructed in Kırşehir, is Turkey’s fourth largest wind power plant with an 168 MW of installed capacity.
Polat Energy, which continues its leadership position in the renewable energy sector in Turkey with its investments, signed a partnership agreement with French EDF-EN in 2008 and Canadian PSP Investments in 2014 to reinforce its permanence in the sector.
