A Strong Renewable Energy Portfolio in Türkiye and Europe
Through Polat Energy, established in partnership between Polat Holding and İş Enerji with the aim of sustainable, renewable, and environmentally conscious energy investments, we are taking an active role in the energy transition by focusing on Türkiye's high-potential wind and solar resources.
Today, with a total of 11 power plants in Türkiye and Europe, an installed capacity of over 1,135 MWm, and an annual electricity production capacity of approximately 2.5 TWh, we meet the energy needs of hundreds of thousands of households and make a significant contribution to reducing carbon emissions.
Leading Position in Wind Energy
We manage one of Türkiye's strongest portfolios in the field of wind energy. With our projects, primarily Soma RES, but also Göktepe, Geycek, Poyraz and Ege RES, we:
•Operate Türkiye's largest wind power plant,
•We prevent millions of tonnes of carbon emissions annually. With an installed capacity of 328.9 MWm, Soma RES is not only the largest in our portfolio, but also the largest renewable energy plant in Türkiye and the seventh largest in Europe.
We prioritise energy storage investments as a strategic priority for the efficient and balanced use of renewable energy sources. By implementing one of Türkiye's first grid-scale wind energy storage systems, we are enhancing energy supply security and ensuring continuity of production with integrated storage solutions for our WPP and SPP projects.
Solar and Hybrid Energy Investments
We support our wind investments with solar energy and hybrid power plant projects. By implementing integrated solar power plant investments in our existing wind power plant sites, we are increasing our production capacity and moving forward with the goals of resource diversity and high efficiency.
We are continuing our international growth by taking our energy investments abroad. Under the Polat Energy Europe umbrella, we are developing renewable energy projects, primarily in Europe, and strengthening our international energy portfolio, particularly through solar energy investments.
